Application Of N-N-Dimethyl-Propargyl-Amine
N,N-Dimethylpropargylamine acts as an alternative base to trimethylamine in gas phase sequencing. It is also as a bifunctional alkynylamine for nanaparticle synthesis and surface functionalization. In organic synthesis, DMP acts as a precursor to mixed cuprate reagents. In biochemistry, N,N-dimethylpropargylamine has been shown to inactivate mitochondrial monoamine oxidase from bovine liver.
